I'm glad to hear some airports are clamping down, and I think whether the issue is what children or adults can bring on the plane, the criteria have to apply to everybody. After all, an obsessive nut-case wouldn't be above (or below) having his child carry a weapon onto the plane for him. And I think if it's presented in a positive light, even a 4- or 5-year-old will be fine with this.... The first consideration must be for the safety of ALL on board!
