Hows the variety in the game room? Does it only take quarters, etc? Will it greatly occupy my DS and DH time? Anything else you can tell me? What deck?

There is a very good selection of games/air hockey, etc. in the Arcade. They do not accept coins. You must buy "Arcade cards". They have a machine in the Arcade. I think you need to put your Key To the World Card in the machine, put a certain amount on the Arcade card and then you use the Arcade card as a debit card in the games. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, you have to use your KTTW card to purchase game token cards. Just a word of advise, make sure you lay down some serious ground rules about purchasing game cards. The games are .50-$1.00 PER PLAY and the game cards are $10.00 a whack. There were a couple of Mommies in our group VERY upset with DS's when the final QuarterMaster tally came in!!

My DD (9) was not terribly impressed with the arcade....lucky for me!! She's not really in to video games at all, so she's probably not the best judge!

It was too noisy for me to even look around at the games......I must be getting old:(

I know I'm too old for arcade games. My interest started dwindling after "Donkey Kong".

No Dave, say it aint so! Maybe DCL could aquire an old Donkey Kong game for us old school gamers.

Pac Man, Asteroids, Space Invaders........PONG??
Have I sufficiently dated myself yet??

My four year old is a video game junkie. Loves his Nintendo and Playstation. I know he is going to be missing them something terribly. Maybe the gameroom will help. I guess I'd better be prepared for a big arcade bill!

DH would prefer to gamble but there is no gambling on the disney ships. So this will most likely where he spends alot of time. He doesnt like the sun. Either there or the bars. Id rather have him in the game room!

No casino but they do have BINGO!!!:bounce: Seriously I played bingo and won 114.00 so I won't complain. And I loved the classes and navigator series they had on the ship, especially the wine tasting seminar I learned alot. Cooking classes were real fun too. Loved the ESPN Sports Bar but I am a sports junkie, have a Disney Day!!! :earsgirl:  :earsgirl:

Rumor has it there are a few decent casinos in St Marten? True or False. Worth it or not? Thanks.

There are casinos on Dutch Sint Maarten but not on French Saint Martin. Fortunately the ship docks at Philipsburg on the Dutch side.

Most of the downtown Philipsburg casinos are rather seedy-looking with the exception of one... the Coliseum Casino, which is NOT on the main drag, but is probably a $3 taxi ride from the ship, looked fine from the outside. But you know what they say about judging a book by its cover...

The nicest casino on the island is reported to be the Princess Casino at Port de Plaisance.
