Gambling and losing

So I held off booking the 4 nights for price of 2 summer deal on the UK site earlier this month while I paid off some other parts of the trip on this months credit card-WRONG. Still advertising the same deal but now eg the price for Hotel Cheyenne has gone up from PD560 to PD 598-I thought they might sell completely out so it was a bit of a gamble but didn't realise you'd get this slowly rising price instead?? So the prospects of staying on-site is fading rapidly unless there is a flash sale for May. Do I buy now? watch it keep rising while I hope there may be a deal? or save lots of bucks and just stay in Paris in one of several much cheaper places and pop down once or twice by train for day visits? (would have to cost total price but with two day wait til can use Francillian pass not really going to work so would just buy 1 or 2 day passes & spend more time in Paris instead-we were going up for 1 day anyway but we have been to Paris a few times so not like its a new city for us).

I know the feeling, I was waiting for a good deal for our dates, paid for our flights, but not booking the hotel was a big mistake. Not only did the price rise, it then SOLD OUT and almost all Disney hotels are sold out for our date, and now we will "have" to book hotel new york which is a bit out of our budget, especially now it is on a pretty bad offer. (£1200 for 4 nights/3 people at HNY, We didn't book SL at £730 -.-) But that's the risk I suppose.
If your price has only risen a bit - does it allow you to change room type? When looking earlier some of the room types had defaulted to a more expensive room, rather than the "standard" rooms.
If I were you, having what's happened to me regarding our booking, if you're happy with the price, BOOK! :)

I'd hold out for a sale. The current offer has only just finished. :) x

I'm presuming that's why the price has increased-the jump has coincided exactly with the cessation of winter deals...
although Brian I guess if they do the deal in euro's and convert to pounds for British, difference in exchange rates between euros and pounds might explain it (I'm accessing through British site so not Aussie conversion thing) but don't think there's been much of a fluctuation in the last 2 days. Ah well lesson learned as Cassie said! If our leave had been confirmed so dates locked in I could have got it for for 400-odd pounds earlier in the year when the "book now for next year at this years prices with 15% off" deal was on but was reluctant til I was sure of our holiday dates.

 :love: I finally got what you said about default to different room type-found where you go in and change room type and yes cheaper rooms are still available-it had defaulted to a room close to hotel facilities in Cheyanne and along Rio Grande for Santa Fe. Booking now. THANK YOU :flower3:
