Galveston question

Hi all! What's recommended for transportation between Houston Airport and Galveston port or area hotel for 2 people? Never cruised from Galveston before. Thanks

IAH (Bush International) or Hobby (typically this is Southwest flights?

We're leaving from Galveston this December and we're planning on Lyft/Uber. It's $85 right now from IAH to the Galveston Hilton

Unfortunately we have to fly Into hobby as there isn't any IAH flights on swa from philadelphia

Did you check out American? Philadelphia and IAH are both American Airlines hubs so we found flights for fairly cheap on April.

Hobby is closer to Galveston, about 29-30 minutes closer than IAH. We’ve used the Galveston Express to get to Galveston. They leave about once an hour from the airport and take about 45 minutes to get to the port area.

This is best. Hobby is much closer to Galveston than IAH.

yes, Hobby is much closer - I would stay in Galveston or you might consider Kemah Boardwalk if you get into Hobby early in the day - both are great choices....NASA museum is near Kemah Boardwalk as well and really cool for either start or end of the stay coming back...

Just did a spring cruise on another line but have been to Houston a number of time times for work, and a couple of times to Galveston. From Hobby it would be easiest just to Uber/Lyft to the port especially for two.
