Okay so I have been researching a lot, made packets for the other two families in our group. We went over everything yesterday and more questions came up that I haven't yet seen, or that I may have seen but don't remember.

1. Galveston - Are there hotels that we can stay at either before and/or after our cruise that we can park for free and be shuttled to the port terminal? If so, Which ones?

2. Kid's Clubs/Nursery - What are the hours for each? we are thinking of taking one night and the adults go to Palo but need to know if the club/nursery will be able to keep the kids while we do.

3. Drinks - I know drinks are free at beverage station, and that we can bring on the 2 wine bottles or 1 6 pack per adult per port but regarding wine/beer and mixed drinks while on board..... Is there a package available on board for the bars or anything of the sort? (I'm already thinking this is a no, but have to ask anyway)

4. Palo - How much does Palo usually cost? Brunch vs Dinner?

5. Nassau Port - We are already planning to go to Atlantis. Does the Dolphin excursion include entry to the waterpark or are they separate where it's one or the other, but not both?

6. Wifi packages - what sizes are available and how much does it cost? and how fast does it get used up when you have one?

7. Photo Package - We are 3 cabins
1-My In-law parents
2-my family
3-SIL Family
I have seen where if one cabin pays full price the second may get it half priced. Does the third cabin have to pay full price also or will they also get a discounted price?
Or I have also seen where someone was sneaky and took a large Group photo in the beginning and all the photos showed up in one cabin's account.

Thank you everyone in advance.

I will answer the only thing I know, and yes there are hotels. I have stayed at the Galvez and the Holiday Inn-both had parking and a shuttle. Galveston.com is a good resource as they list all the hotels with parking/shuttles.

Galveston.com is a great website for finding a hotel--we looked there, then called the hotel directly to book. We're staying at the Hampton Inn for our upcoming cruise (slight fee for the shuttle to port--I want to say $8 per person).

Kids Club/Nursery: When you go online to book your Palo dinner, you can book the nursery at the same time. I'm not sure of the hours for the kids clubs, but they'll be open. (I've never cruised with a child, but our daughter is going on her first cruise in November and she'll be turning 1 on the cruise). You can book all of your nursery time needed online, when you're booking window opens. There is no need to book anything for the kids clubs (other than registering the kids).

Drinks: There are drink packages available, but sorry that I'm not much help on them as far as pricing and what not. Here are some packages available:

Remember: the alcohol policy is only as you stated, and the "per port" means you can only bring on that amount in each port (so if you're stopping at 3 ports, you cannot carry 6 bottles of wine on at the beginning).

Palo: Price is $30 per person (same price for brunch or dinner)

OP, we are booked at The San Luis Resort directly through DCL. We stayed here last December before our Wonder cruise and parking and shuttle were included.

We're staying at the San Luis, as the PP is. My TA booked us directly through DCL, as the rate she was quoted was cheaper than the parking/shuttle package you could get on their web-site. Googlemaps had it as ~10min ride from the hotel to the port, which was fine with me. (I know there are other options literally right there at the port.) btw, the parking and shuttle aren't exactly "free" - it's just that they're included with certain rates. AAA rates, etc would be cheaper for anyone only needing the room.

There are wine packages offered for dinner... although I'm not convinced it saves much money unless you make a point of always getting the most expensive options just b/c they're the most expensive rather than the bottles you really want or that go well with your food. There is a beer mug you can buy that will get you a larger pour each time you order. I'm not a beer drinker, but I read about it in a thread about craft beer on this forum while looking into the Nassau craft brewery for my dad. I think you get 22oz instead of 16oz? In terms of oz ingested - that's close to buy 2 get 1 free. There are "drinks of the day" that are cheaper than other mixed drinks.

That is a nice hotel and basically all the hotels in Galveston are close to port as most are on the sea wall. So good choice. We are driving in that morning so we are just opting for cruise parking.

If everyone is linked together, the third party can get the CD for half price. At least my group was able to get the half price and we had multiple families linked to my account. 15 to be exact.

We've stayed (and are staying again) at the Hampton Inn, where we do the Park, Stay and Cruise package. You can park the length of the cruise, stay the night before and they shuttle you to and from the port. Very reasonable, too!
