I would say with a great deal of certainty either the Magic or Wonder will be sailing out of Galveston for the winter. Other than New Orleans, there really is no place else to send them since 3 ships will already be in Florida. The Galveston holiday market is really strong so I can't imagine they won't have a ship here. It's interesting because they announced cruises to "the Caribbean and Bahamas from Texas" in their press release but none of the cruises currently listed go to the Bahamas. Not sure if that means they will be adding Bahamas sailings with the next group. I would have to think so because it adds variety. People in Texas get tired of going to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. They can do that on any cruise line. But visiting
Castaway Cay and not having to fly to Florida makes those cruises more special.
Not to change the topic, but I am actually more curious about what they do with the Jan-March cruises. Those are typically MDAS out of Miami. I wonder if they will move them to the Dream or keep them on the Magic from a new port. I live in Houston so nothing would make me happier than to see one of the Classic ships offering MDAS out of Galveston or New Orleans. But it is way too soon to tell what their plan is at this point.
