those are my three possible diagnoses. I spent 4 hours in the ER yesterday and when I left they gave me those 3 possibilities- I have to go have an ultrasound of my gallbladder friday morning.

Anyone's experiences with any of the three??

I'm currently battling my gallbladder. I've had gallbladder disease for 5 years but I have opted not to have surgery. When I have a gallbladder attack It starts on the right upper side of my abdomen and wraps around to my back and eventually the pain is so bad that I can't tell you where the pain is coming from. Usually it starts, peaks then goes away in about 2 hours but this time around they are worse and start, peak, slow down a bit then peak again and last 4-5 hours. They happen if I eat too late at night or if I eat fast food or don't drink enough water. here's the TMI part.....during the attacks it is common to puke or have diarrhea(though I've never had either of those!) For me I just feel like I have way to much gas in my abdomen and I burp a lot. Since my gallbladder is not inflamed I have opted not to have surgery, but if these attacks don't stop soon then I will probably be having surgery right after christmas.

I had my gallbladder removed in May after suffering with gallstones for 10 years, YES 10 years. I was misdiagnosed 10 years ago. Getting rid of my gallbladder has been one of the greatest things I have ever done (falls right under LASIK, since I do still enjoy being able to see unaided every day).

Ever few months I would a gallstone attack. It was severe cramping where I all I could do was curl up in a ball and cry. The cramping would begin on my right side but would end up enveloping my whole midsection (including my back). I would also get nauseous. These attacks would last anywhere from a few minutes to over eight hours.

I had these terrible cramps in my stomach, in the center. it was usualy after eating higher fat foods. It really covered the whole abdomen. It felt like someone was twisting and turning my insides, along with a real crampy feel in the stomach. All I could do was bring my knees to my stomach and wait for it to pass. After medical test, the Doctor said I had Gall stones. I really questioned that gallstones were causing this problem because I had no other sytems that people usualy have, other then heart burn. I ended up having my gallbladder removed. After the surgery the pain occured again, and one other time while recovering. The Doctor said it had to do with a muscle in the abdominal wall, and it was related to the surgery. It been 6 years and I have not expirienced any more pain episodes. So I guess removing the gallbladder did the trick.
