GAD vouchers-fp option & 5 for 3

Ok I'm starting to get excited. Just hit with the new summer promo 5 for 3--181 price, started comparing park hopper options. We were going to just do 3 days using our gad voucher to make them 132. Found out about the 5 for 3 park hoppers and think our best option is to do the 5 day hopper and use our Gad's for fast pass tix. I called guest services and you can use the fast pass options on the gads on days they're blocked out (June 21-22) for using towards the free day. This will help us a lot because the 2 days we would add would be 2 days of uber busy non blocked pass holder days even though they are a monday and tuesday. We could use the super fast passes on those 2 days and then maybe Friday as we'll have 3.

We're getting the FP's as well on our vouchers, as we too are going during the summer. We have 4 GAD vouchers: I'm going to use mine to get the figurine & pins for AP holders & then we're going to use the other 3 on 3 separate days to give us the bonus FP's three times!!!

Believe me I wrecked my back yesterday trying to figure out the best plan--it was confusing. Now I just have to find someone to take care of the cats....
The moral of the story is you can take advantage of your give a day vouchers even on the days that are blocked if you don't use them for a free day. You can use them for the fast pass and or the figurine.
We were just going to get a 3 day and use the voucher to give us $72 off (upgrading and all that) but I'm a little worried about the grad night and no shows on that night-- I know I'm going to want to see the World of Color more than once and I love Fantasmic so it seems the best option. Another option was to simply get a 4 day pass instead of 3 but since we're driving husband wants a little breather before going back to work Monday so driving back Sunday would be killer. It's a 15 hour drive.

Update: I got 5 day parkhoppers from Last minute travel for $154 each
Will use the GAD vouchers for fast passes Mon & Tuesday, the days that are not blocked for ap's and hope for the best... Still don't know how we're gonna 'work' the drive-- drive straight and roll right into the hotel and go seems like the best option right now lol. Especially with the guaranteed fast passes.

Just making sure you know that there is no guarantee as to when WOC is opening. Hopefully it will be up by June, but no official date has been announced yet.

In the interest of this board being a reliable source for validated information, the above link says the following about World of Color:

"Disney's new World of Color show is now expected to officially open June 11th when the popular Summer Nightastic! promotion returns to the Disneyland Resort, according to a recent Disneyland Resort press release [NOTE: The official press release was later edited, removing the June 11 date. Below is an excerpt of the press release as it was originally issued]."

Then there is a link to this press release.

I could not find anything that said June 21st OR confirms the June 11th date. If I missed it, please let me know. Thanks!

I read somewhere else cast members were told it was to be the 11th. Considering it was originally supposed to be March, then May and they are currently opening CA adventures an hour early every day and closing an hour early, it tells me they are really trying for this date. Also no electrical parade and in full summer swing...I would hope so. But you're entitled to your opinion I guess lol. If I'm wrong-- then our days that the ap's aren't blocked won't be so crowded and I'll catch it in 2012 I guess. I've been following every bit of info on this for the last year- I spend about 2 hours a day on Disneyland related message boards but I'm certainly not a cast member or anyone with any real authority.
We chose these dates this time because a lot of our family is going at this time--it's the latest I could get them to wait.

Oh, trust me, I would LOVE for it to open today! I'm very excited about it. I take pictures of the construction, read and watch everything I can find about it. It looks sooo amazing!

It's not a matter of my opinion vs. your opinion, I was just trying to confirm, as the internet boards have circulated lots of speculative dates, but I have heard nothing anywhere officially from Disney. The upside to message boards is that they are a wealth of information. The downside is they can also circulate mis-information in record time.
