I received the following email yesterday & it looks like Disney may be maxing out. So if you want to do something & the system accepts it I think you will be fine, but if you wait to long to register you may lose out.

Volunteers,
I wanted to get in touch with all of you because of an email I received today. It looks as though the "Give A Day, Get A Day" program will be ending soon. Very shortly they will begin to remove opportunities from the website. The email contained the following statement: Only volunteers who have completed the registration and signed up for a specific date and time to volunteer before the program ends will get their vouchers for a Disney theme park ticket once their service has been verified.

If you have not signed up for XXXXXXX please do so ASAP! I would hate to have anyone miss out.

Thanks,

I can confirm this as well. I am volunteering at a national festival, and the coordinator just told me she received the email from Disney saying they had reached the 1,000,000 volunteer mark and would be ending the program soon.

It has been such a win/win, especially for participating organizations, that I would not be surprised if they back off and extend the program, but that's purely my speculation.
