GAD people are getting scr*wed!

Personally, I thought the increase on AP's was really high. I renewed mine last May and I'm glad I did but come next May, I'll be paying the new cost. OP:I would be totally PO'ed about the increase even with the GAD. People seem to think since it was a volunteer thing that you can't get upset if something goes wrong or doesn't work out right.

We weren't able to participate in GAD, but I feel your pain, OP! We are planning to buy 6 APs in December, and this price increase has made us have to change our trip from 6 nights to 3 nights to be able to afford it. That's okay, though, because we are still going on our trip and will get a year of magical enjoyment out of our new APs!

Chin up. :)

...Everyone knew (or suspected) a price increase was coming! Think of it this way... Instead of saving $216 now you are saving $228 for "volunteering"!

Exactly my point! Glass half-full.

And of course I understand the disappointment of something costing more than anticipated. I just don't agree that GAD voucher holders are getting "screwed.". I think they are very fortunate people with lots of options on how to spend a generously given $76 voucher.

I wasn't able to do the GAD before the 1 million mark. I'm totally bummed about it...I didn't realize it had a 'cap' on it. I thought it was all year long.

My guess is the price increase probably directly correlated to the amount of people upgrading their free tickets into APs. It is disappointing to miss out, but at least you got the free tickets in the first place! Many people would love to go just for a day! I don't think you're being 'screwed'.

IMO all APs are a phenomenal deal and extremely cheap compared to what you'd pay for one trip. If we lived any closer I'd love to be able to take advantage of the AP prices! But between time off work, and money, we have to limit ourselves to 1x every year (or every other!).

Yes, $25 per person... Purchasing 3, that is $75.

I am still saving money, so I do see your point. But, I knew prices were going up and I did not have any option at all to purchase prior to the increase because we can't do it until we get there. Seems as though they should have taken that into consideration.

Disney Dreamer, I felt attacked. If that was not your intention then I apologize, but that is not at all the way I took it.

We'll have about 40+ people feeling the pinch when we go, too. Many of these are girls paying their own way, too.
Sometimes the timing is great . . . others not so. :sad1:

Especially when you've promised your husband it would only be a certain amount and now the total is almost $100 more! :rotfl:

Yup I hear ya on that one!:lmao: This wouldn't make the DH happy at all...BUT I am one to look on the brighter side of the picture...so it would be more of a, 'bummer - oh well - I still get a discount!'

I wish I could EVEN afford a pass - will gladly accept donations! hee hee Yeah right! hee he:lmao:
