GAD opportunity in Durham, NC area UPDATE

So, my old high school is having a food drive, trying to break the world record of food collected in a single day. According to Durham Herald Sun, 4 GAD passes to everyone who brings in 2 large (brown paper) grocery bags full of food. I figure those of you coupon queens & kings could knock those 2 bags out for next to nothing. The event is March 20 at NCSSM, corner of Broad & Club in Durham.

Okay, per the food drive's facebook page: Breaking News: Disney has ended the Give A Day. Get A Day program and will no longer be issuing passes. We're sorry that this has happened, however it is beyond our control. We hope that you will still want to support our Food Drive on March 20th and by donating on that day, or by the virtual website by 8am on March 15th.

One of my neighbors works at the School and emailed the neighborhood about the Food Drive.....but he failed to mention the GAD ticket thing. Wow. We just may have to make the effort now. Thanks for posting!

I was wondering the same thing. I have already gotten my GAD vouchers, but would love to do this and get tickets in my sisters' families names. They may or not be able to come with me, but I can always donate them if that happens.

That's too bad! I am going to let the parents at my school know about the drive though. It's for a good cause.

Sure am glad I got my GAD vouchers last month! I can't believe Disney didn't extend it.
