GAD Non-Ticket Options?

I thought I read somewhere that if you didn't need the ticket, you could select between FPs and pins. Is this true? I didn't see anything on the GAD website or any of the other threads about anything relating to a pin set.

The GAD pass states:
"Instructions for Annual Passholders and multi-day ticket
holders redeeming voucher for an alternate option instead of
the 1-day, 1-theme park ticket:
Present your valid ID, this voucher, and your valid multi-day ticket or
Annual Pass at a theme park will call ticket window to redeem for a
Disney's FASTPASS® Special Exchange card or for a Special Ear
Hat figurine with unique trading pins"

Thanks for the responses. We finished blankets for Project Linus yesterday and will most likely use the GAD voucher towards our AP renewals in November (although I really like the pins...just can't convince DH that we should use the voucher for a set ).

My DH actually wants the FP over the ticket upgrade. We were thinking about redeeming the one day then moving up to AP. I was happily surprised!

Does anyone know if you can use the GAD pass towards a multi day ticket? For example can I use my GAD for a discount if I need a 4 day pass? Thanks!

Absolutely.

What you technically have to do is turn the voucher in for the 1-day ticket, use it, and then upgrade it any time after that. However, when you turn it in you can ask to upgrade - several have reported the CMs have done this for them.
