We completed our GAD Linus Blanket project and it was so much fun creating the blankets as a family project.

We turned in our blankets to the organizer yesterday afternoon. How long after do we receive a confirmation from Disney that our vouchers will be ready for us to print?

Hoping we have enough time before we leave March 12th.

Ours took less than a week. We made our blankets on a Saturday, I shipped them Monday, and I received our Disney email and printed our vouchers on that next Saturday. YMMV.

We, also, had a good time making our blankets. Our DS and DDIL had also signed up, so they came over and we made the blankets together. GAD can be such a win-win for all; we had great family time and were able to do something nice for someone else.

We made a basket and craft kits for a local hospital/charity and turned them in on Monday. I just got the email for the vouchers today. HTH

I'd like to know what other folks have experienced too. I've seen a couple of posts indicating that turn around time was really quick.

We completed our service 1/25, started showing up as "Already Volunteered and Verified" just a few days later, but are still waiting for the vouchers to come through.

The website does say to allow 2 weeks, so we're in wait mode.

I think you should have plenty of time with your dates though.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! We are so excited. It was fun to make the blankets and I made a few extra too.
Now the kids want one. LOL

We also mailed our blankets in on Monday and recieved the email to print our vouchers by Saturday.

My contact at Project Linus said she is required to submit the info that you completed the service project within 72 hours of the event. So on the organization side its pretty quick. Mine was approved about 2 days after the event, then my email from Disney came 4 days later.

I dropped off one blanket on Saturday - it was verified on Sunday and I got my certificate to print early Tuesday morning - this was for my DH

DD's and I volunteered for a different organization on a Saturday, it was verified on Monday and we received those certificates on Wednesday.

Hmm, We've been showing up as verified for over a week, but still no vouchers. I wonder if there's a glitch somewhere? I'll probably wait a few more days, since that will put us over 2 weeks, and then see what I can find out from the call center.

it's been 72 hours and my account still shows pending verification and that it could take up to 2 weeks.
so it looks like we still have time before our trip!

they are ready to be printed! :cool1:
didnt take that long at all. :thumbsup2
turned in the blankets this past friday.

Just an FYI...

I called Disney today since our vouchers seem to be stuck somewhere in cyberland.

The CM said that if you show up as "Already Volunteered and Verified" in the system, you don't actually have to have the vouchers with you when you go to the parks. It might take a bit longer, but as long as you have proper ID, they can verify that you are eligible for a GAD ticket there.

Of course I'd feel more comfortable having the vouchers to take with me, but I thought this info might be helpful for anyone else who might run into a glitch with their vouchers for one reason or another.
