I'm sure this has come up before so I'm sorry about that but here goes...

Okay so ticket prices are going up again tomorrow (aug. 5th) correct?

We have our GAD vouchers and are going in a couple of weeks. There is no way to buy tickets ahead of time (today) at the lower price and still get any value for our vouchers, is that correct?

The way I thought I understood it, to redeem the vouchers you must present them as a ticket to gain entrance to the park and then you can upgrade to say 7 day tickets and get the value of what equals out to a one day one park ticket off of your total cost? So there is no way to "buy" tickets ahead of time and therefore get the lower ticket prices, right?

Just checking.

Please see my other post below for question about gift cards...
Thanks Everyone!:cool1:

Right. If you are planning to use your GAD vouchers to upgrade to MYW tickets, you can't do that in advance. You will have to upgrade at a park on your first park day. You will receive a credit of the gate price for a one-day ticket toward your MYW ticket, so you will receive credit for the new one-day ticket price when you redeem your voucher.

If you are planning to use any of the vouchers for the fastpass exchange cards or the pins and figurine, you can buy discounted tickets now and redeem for the alternate options when you arrive.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought and we weren't going to do the fastpasses since for us the monetary savings is more important.

Question about paying: we have some gift cards, I read in another post that you can only use a total of 3 diff. forms of payment at the gates so in other words, if I had 2 gift cards and then put the balance on my Disney visa, that would be the total amount of payment options we could use? Just wondering because I think we have a few gift cards so just want to figure out which ones we will be using for payment of MYW tickets.

That's a question for Cheshire Figment, but if I understand his previous posts, you can have a total of three forms of payment for each transaction. So if you have multiple gift cards, you could use two gift cards for each ticket and use the Visa for the difference, but you would have to buy each ticket as a separate transaction. If you buy the tickets together, you can use two gift cards total and pay the difference with a single form of payment for your third payment type. Hoepfully Cheshire or Doconeill will see your question in case I have misunderstood the process.

If you are staying on-site, you can charge the tickets to your room key and pay it off with as many gift cards as you have. There is no limit to the number of gift cards you can apply to your room balance. The only problem I would foresee is if you hit the credit limit for your room and they automatically charge your credit card. I think the limit is still $500 for values, $1000 for moderates and $1500 for deluxes. You can't apply more gift cards than your balance (to have a credit), so you can't apply the gift cards to your room at the resort, then go use the credit at the parks to buy the tickets.

Okay thanks so let me see if I got this right....cause we'll be staying at BWV...so from what i understand we can do this process right at IG. Okay so we get in w/our vouchers and then immediately proceed to upgrade them to MYW 7 day tickets. We can ask the CM to put the charge on our room and then we can settle up at BW later?

Yes. Your credit card shouldn't be charged until you have a $1500 balance if you are staying at BWV. You can apply the gift cards to your room balance any time between when the charge posts and when they need to charge your credit card.
