**Gack** Just Learned Something About Ding! and it is Too Late for Me :(

Round-trip Dings! are cheaper than 1-Way Dings! **sigh**.

We are flying into TPA on 8/13 and out of MCO on 8/27. My DH's family lives in TPA and it just seemed easier to open-jaw it. Im paying about $150 RT. Someone said that sometimes Ding! fares are better than advertised on the Ding! screens. They said they were flying for less than $120. Hmmm.

So ... I have been waiting and waiting for a MDW-MCO or MDW-TPA Ding! to come up for about 7-10 days. Finally! One came up today and I checked the prices. The link said "Orlando from $68". So ... I check my return date and it's still sitting at $75 per person on the return. Then, I thought I would check RT for someone who was thinking about going out of MCO in October. I was **SHOCKED** to see that her dates were $115 RT, all taxes. Then, I try to enter my dates as a RT to/from MCO and I couldn't. **OF COURSE ** the Dings, which had a start date of Aug 1 all last week all have a start date of August 15th, two days after I need it. Wouldn't you know, 8/15-8/27 is only $115 RT. I would have NO problem flying into MCO instead of TPA if it was going to save me $140.

And no, I can't leave on 8/15 instead. We're meeting up with my in-laws in TPA and I want to be in WDW for my DD's birthday on 8/17.

I had gotten a Ding fare that was okay but not great, so I'd been hoping for something better. I check the news letter every week and still nothing better. Well after reading your post, I went to SW site and plugged in my dates (funny, I never actually go directly to there site, I always go through an email or Ding) and for the 2 of us to fly it was $60 less than my Ding fare. I also am traveling the first week of August. I just wanted to say thanks. Have you gone directly to SW site and tried your dates?

I'm glad you got a better fare! It didn't work for me, my Ding! is better. My fare isn't bad, but I sure wish I had known to check round-trips on Ding! before. I would have had $140 more to spend at WDW .
