I was wondering is anyone with a 4night resort reservation and a 3day ticket has been able to get their GAC issued the night of check in (but at a park's GS counter of course)? I'm trying to manage getting everyone's ID checked and resident vouchers exchanged the night before (to save hassle/time in the morning rush). But I was thinking maybe I can grab DAS (hoping the issuing policy will be similar to GAC) at the same time? Or does it, historically, have to be done the first day you enter the park?

GAC cards -- and I believe the upcoming new DAS cards -- are only issued at Guest Relations at one of the four major theme parks. I believe there are GR windows outside the gates (at least at MK), so yes, it is possible to obtain a GAC before entering the park. Presumably DAS will be the same...if you aren't traveling until at least mid-October maybe you can re-post to see if anyone has actual experience after Oct. 9th.

Enjoy your vacation!

To answer you other question I know you might have gone to the water park to get your ap. but if you want to do everything together and if the new das can be given outside the park like gac was. I would pick Epcot because their guest relations can do both ap exchanges and gac/ das And it right outside the park. The handicap lot in Epcot is pretty close maybe not as close as Dhs but their guest service is a little further from the ticket window.

The places DAS cards are issued are the same as before.
The locations are in post one of the WDW DAS thread.

Thanks, Sue!

OP...here are the Guest Relations locations:

Where can I find Guest Relations at WDW?
Guest Relations locations inside and outside of the park are open during park hours.
You do need to go thru the security bag checkpoint to get to the outside of the park Guest Relations, but you don't need to actually enter the park. Once you are actually in the park area, look for Guest Relations in the 'wall' of the buildings that make up the outside wall of the park.

MK
Outside of the park Guest Relations is to the right when you face the front of the park after you go thru the bag check point.
Inside of the park Guest Relations is on the left in City Hall after you pass under the train station.
Epcot
Outside of the park Guest Relations is almost straight across from the monorail exit, on the right side of the park entrance. Bag check is closer to the left side of the park entrance; after going thru bag check, go right past the ticket booths and you will find it.
Inside of the park Guest Relations is to the left, after you pass Spaceship Earth.
There is also a Guest Relations booth at the International Gateway. Look for the sign above the booth.
DHS and AK
Outside of the park Guest Relations is to the left as you face the park entrance.
Inside the park Guest Relations is also to the left, soon after you pass thru to actually enter the park.

Thanks, Sue!
