In the past we have used the GAC pass for DS. I have always brought along the old pass and just given it to the CM and they have given me a new one. DS is a special needs child. He has seizures and the medication makes it impossible for him to wait in the sun (he does not sweat and his body temp rises and he dehydrated quickly). DS also has a terrible time with crowds and he is in a stroller wheelchair. I don't seem to be able find the old GAC pass. I want to get a note from the Dr. so we can give that to the CM. I am trying to make this as easy as possible. I remember one of the stamps said something about shade? I want the DR to use the same wording as the stamp so I have no problems. DS had a stroke and he "looks" fine so by looking at him they will not be able to see his disabilities. Can anyone tell me the terminology used on the GAC? Thanks again.

The CMs generally don't look at Dr.s letters. If you simply tell them you need a GAC w/ stamps for "Stroller as a wheelchair" "Use alternate entrance where available" and "Provide shaded waiting area" that should do the trick. That's not to say you can't have a letter from the doc. just have him describe what you need. The terminology doesn't have to be exact. They want YOU to be able to tell them your needs.

::yes::
Those requests should do the trick.
Even better than asking for specific stamps, I think just say what you said in your post:
He has seizures and the medication makes it impossible for him to wait in the sun (he does not sweat and his body temp rises and he dehydrated quickly). DS also has a terrible time with crowds and he is in a stroller wheelchair.

And, if it turns out that the stamps they put on the GAC don't meet your DS's needs, just take it (and him) back to Guest Services. Explain how it does not meet your needs and ask for something else.

We have never ever had a problem but I get very very nervous about the GAC as it is a lifesaver! We are going to try again for a wonderful Christmas in WDW. I am hoping to see more of the parks and less of the Celebration Hospital this time! I know it is going to be CROWDED and I just want to be able to make getting the GAC easy and fast! Thanks again!
