Does anyone know if they have the same system as WDW? We are planning a last minute trip and looking for any tips. DS has Down Syndrome, and uses his special stroller as a wheelchair. We will be there Easter weekend so I am extra nervous about the crowds. Any advice appreciated Thanks! :)

Their system is a bit different in that they *actually try* to make things easier for you. They use the Special Assistance Pass (not GAC) there, you get it from Guest Services either at City Hll on Main Street (on the left side as you get into the town square) in Disneyland, or in the Guest Services on the left side right inside the gate at DCA. There are no stamps or hassles there, they know that the CMs are too busy to sit around reading fine print. They print out a computer-generated ticket with your name, the dates of your visit, and the number of people in your party. As always, they ask that you use the regular lines and entrances whenever possible, and use the Fastpass system when it is available. Depending on the wait in the standby line, if it isn't excessive and wouldn't be unfair to the other guests, they allow ambulatory guests with disabilities to go right in through the Fastpass line without doing the ticket dance - they recognize how much energy it takes to come and go.

The SAP at Disneyland is smaller in size than the one at WDW, it fits nicely in a badge-holder on a lanyard.

I just wanted to say Welcome to our Boards.
teri is sort of our Disneyland expert and it looks like she totally covered your question.

We are an anual pass holder at Disneyland and California adventure and these are the best parks for handicap children. We are always treated great and they make our day so wonderful.:pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Trip was great! I was very impressed by how we were treated. I did try to do the fast-pass thing and the CM said go in the exit and never took my fast passes?? Maybe because it was Indiana Jones?? They would have us maybe wait for the 3rd or so ride. We also got stuck on the monorail and had to be "towed" in and upon exit we were not given fast passes because of Jack's special stroller. They new right away what kind of stroller it was no explainations and no hassles. Thanks so much again! :)

I am glad that you had a nice time. Disneyland is a terrific place to visit.
