Gac changes and thread closed? I'm worried.

I was just wondering why the changes to the gac thread was closed because I wanted to to post there?
I am really worried because I have booked a holiday to wdw after reading about the gac and thought this would be a great opportunity to take my children to wdw as we are going for my son's ( with SEN )birthday next may. We have already paid out £1000s that are not refundable for flights and I'm really getting stressed.

Sometimes it better not to wonder it was getting to heated and diser wasn't treating other with respect. And the cold hard fact is they are just rumor and it did dose not help get get every one rallied up over rumors. When Disney want everyone to know about the changes they will release info until ten we all need to carry own and handle the gac like you always do. The only real change for know is for ap only being able to get one for two weeks instead of two months.

I would not worry. Go to the sticky thread that has been posted about the GAC. It has tons of information and is really the most recent and "TRUE" information re: the GAC. If there are changes, I am sure it will be updated if needed.

Their not going to change it in a way you won't be able to enjoy the park or your kids will have a hard time. The Reason it taking so long for then to announce anything is Disney upper management afraid to change the gac so they have to come up with a way to do it that dose not make them look bad in the eyes of guest with disabilities.

Unfortunately I have already had problems this year with legoland uk. I phoned up the day before to check that there assistance policy was the same as the year before whEn we went ( it was for the person with special needs and up to 5 other guests to accompany them) and they confirmed it was.
We turned up the next day to be told it had changed and they was limiting it to special needs person and only 3 guests and only to be used on 10 rides.
After complaining they did help us out but after that I don't trust they won't change it for the worse.
It would be so much better if everyone had to show proof like a doctors note and would stop the horrible people from lying to get one.

I know what your saying but the fact they are taking their time to review it means they are not rushing or trying to make it harder for guest. Disney has a great reputation for handling guest with disabilities great so they want to keep that. That why it hard for Disney and their managers because they have to look at each thing as how will it effect guest cms and other things. They can't just go out and say we going to do this and that and not think it through first. Yes sometimes Disney dose do things that they don't think but they most of the time fix it but this is to big to not take their time and get it right.

It was closed because:
1) All WDW have right now are rumors, which were mostly people's guesses about how things might work or their own ideas about how they would do it.

2) some people were getting quite worried about some of the guesses and were not realizing they were just guesses.

3) Several new posters came onto that thread and used it to make rude comments about guests with invisible disabilities and other people's parenting skills.

Those are the reasons the previous thread was closed.
I ask posters NOT to start another rumors thread.
