From Pete:

Hey folks. As you all know we are bracing for what they are now saying is the worst hurricane to ever hit Central Florida. While the start of this storm is not expected to hit our area until later this afternoon / this evening, out of an abundance of caution I'm keeping everyone home today and tomorrow. A Daily Fix will go up at noon today, tomorrow is any ones guess - it all depends if we have power. There will be no Universal show today either. I remember all to well the damage that was done after Hurricane Charley in 2004 - we were without power for a week. Since they are predicting this to be much worse, I won't lie - I'm pretty nervous. I'm hoping for the best, but bracing for the worst. Please keep all of us in your thoughts. I'll try and post updates as I can.

Thanks for letting us know; I hope it's not as bad as they're thinking and it's just some rain and bad wind gusts. I hope everyone stays safe!!

Decision regarding Disney parks should be made very soon. Rumor is they will close around 5 tonight and remain closed tomorrow.

Wow. So is this the first time they're closing in 12 years?

Hurricane has been upgraded to Cat. 4. Disney's closure announcement should happen soon.

I have the dumbest question ever, but keep in mind I'm from the land of tornados, not hurricanes. I know many of the Dis members have dogs. Where do they go to the bathroom? Surely they can't hold it for a day, but I don't think you can put them out in that weather. Puppy pads?

Same as in a blizzard, if it's too bad outside; Garage or find a room with tile floors, no carpet or hardwood.

Not to sound too morbid or put people in danger, but I'd love seeing what the parks look like as they close. I remember Kathy talking about all the hidden things MK has for emergency's like this and AK must have tons more.
