I know it's not guaranteed that he'll be there but we have two potential times to go to Chefs de France and I was wondering which once would be more likely to get us a chance to see Remy: a noon lunch or a very early 4:20 PM dinner?

I don't know for sure, but I want to say the noon lunch. When planning our trip in May, I came across some information that said he made his final rounds at about 3:00 ish. Our reservation was at about 2:30.

Here he is...he was that cute!

He wasn't there on Saturday at lunch. We had ADRs at noon and were seated promptly. At about 1:15 pm, I asked about Remy and our server said he's "on vacation" until October XX (couldn't catch the exact date, although he may have said 6th). Probably getting a little sprucing up. Anyways, just wanted to give a heads-up so no one is dissapointed.

During our last trip to WDW (October 2009), we had both a lunch and an early dinner at Les Chefs and saw Remy both times. We opted for the earliest seating possible (about 11:30 am) for lunch and a 4:40 pm dinner seating. In both cases we saw Remy.

I would try to get an ADR time well before Remy is scheduled to make his rounds because he does not go back to tables and he skips one that are being seated. I think it's better to see Remy in the middle of your meal than to have just missed him because Les Chefs was running behind schedule.

He does NOT appear on Sundays.
This is Information that I have, you can check Steve Soares website for updates. This is NOT a traditonal character meal, Remy starts rolling thru at the times listed and does a little show.If you are late being seated, not in your seat ,in the bathroom etc and you miss him, you miss him.He does NOT double back for people. He also has been known to not appear if he is having techincal difficulties. I actually just checked Steve Soares site again and he is not listed anymore( he hasn't been for the last 2 weeks) so hopefully he is still there
UPDATE- IF you check the archives on Steve Soares Website, Remy is listed as NOT appearing anymore.Maybe someone else can elaborate

Steve Soares website has him archived as not appearing anymore..I know they were having some issues with Remy recently

We just returned from WDW. We ate at Chefs last week and were quite disappointed when Remi was nowhere in sight. It was the main reason we booked Chefs again this year...my niece was with us this time and she wanted to experience Remi. Unfortunately, he's not there right now. :sad1:

Remy is on vacation right now. No word for sure when he'll be back from his 'trip'.

Steve Soares has also recently archived his info on Remy and doesn't mention when he will be back.

Nooooooooo! Argh - we are supposed to eat at Chefs in 4 weeks, I really hope he is back!

Oh, I really hope he is back by the end of October. My kids met him there last year and really wanted to see him again this year!

We ate there last week and asked when we arrived if Remy was there and were told he was. So we went in and asked our waiter when he would be out and he said that Remy was on vacation for two weeks. That would mean he returns next week.

My kids were really upset. I had told them I could not promise Remy would be there. But we asked before we sat down and would have appreciated a truthful answer at that point. I don't know if we would have stayed or not. I didn't find the food that wonderful so I was very disappointed to have mediocre food and no Remy!

My reservations are on Sunday. I didn't realize that Remy didn't appear on Sundays when I made them. I haven't figured out where else to put this in our schedule. With this news, maybe it doesn't matter?

I guess I will wait and see if next week he is back.
