Hi, we just completed our first DVC purchase (BCV 150 pts, June UY). It was resale via TSS. Having seen a few posts asking how long the process has taken folks, I thought I'd post our timeline FYI.
Jan 18 - sent offer to TSS via e-mail
Jan 18 - contract sent to us via e-mail
Jan 20 - we faxed signed contract back to TSS
Jan 21 - contract sent to Disney for ROFR consideration
Feb 11 - we're notified Disney passed on ROFR
Feb 13 - we sent payment
Feb 15 - we're notified title co. has received payment
Feb 23 - TSS notifies us via e-mail that escrow had closed, we are DVC members
Feb 26 - box from DVC arrives with member book
Mar 1 - I call and make first DVC reservation!!
Mar 2 - We receive email from TSS that we're all official, can call DVC by Mar 8 to make reservation
Mar 8 - DVC membership cards arrive
We were pretty amazed the process was in under two months from start to finish. And we were also amazed at the short time between passing ROFR, closing, then getting into the DVC system.
All in all, a pleasure!! The kids and we are excited for our first trip "home" in August, and for many years of Disney vacations to come. Thanks for all we've read on this board, and to TSS for such a smooth process. We never, ever would have known about resale were it not for The Dis
Peace,
