FYI on door signs...

I know there was a thread awhile back about the door signs/magnets. I went to Big Lots today(not sure if everyone has those) and they had the "Disney Mailing Creations" kit that includes the Print Studio Deluxe CD with Disney characters and fonts on it. The price...$3.99!!!! Yahoo...good deal. Wasn't planning on doing a door sign, but think I will now for that price!

Last year right before my Sept cruise I saw this same thread. I am having deja vu on this one. I ran to our local big lots and guess they didn't have this item in this area.
Don't think I will look for them again either. Our store is too unorganized.
However on our last cruise there was a large family and friends of about 5 stateroom all with magnet boards. It was cute to see all the messages they were leaving for each other.We would read them on the way to our stateroom.
I think with a large group that is the way to go.

THANKS for the headsup I ran over to Big Lots this morning and got the last 2 kits!! 1 for me and 1 for my best friend who is leaving the day before me!! I already made one sign and now I'm going to start working on door sign #2

I found them at my Big Lots too -- there are several varieties, but they all seem to contain the same basic software, with the addition of different kinds of paper. I saw a sticker kit, a card kit, and a t-shirt kit. They ranged in price from $1.99 to $3.99. I found them in the stationary section, where you'd find notebooks and paper and such. They were stuffed down on the very bottom shelf, in with packs of computer paper. Hope that helps!

I haven't been to Big Lots for some time. I'll hvae to try this weekend. What does the software do for you? I have downloaded alot of free clipart from the Web and made about 3 or 4 door signs already just using that. Just curious what the software is all about?

ljql_5969... the software has extras besides the actual pictures of the characters. It has many different types of "frames" to frame around the edge of paper, it has "backgrounds" for the paper, it has different extra's, like shells, coral, sea grass, etc, with Ariel characters that you can choose..same goes with other characters. It has the "disney" font on it. I haven't made a "door sign" before, but I have made many invitations, banners, etc for other things, and it seems to be much easier than trying to find everything on my own searching sites for what I want on the internet, it is all right there. Worth spending $20.00 no not if I can find someof it for free and it is only for a door sign for the cruise, but $3.99 to make my life simplier and save some valuable time...definitely! On top of that it comes with invitation paper too, which I will be able to use for something else.

I am so bummed. I looked in the stationary section and by the software. I am going to try another Big Lots nearby tomorrow!!!

My friend picked it up for me but she said it was not in either of those sections...it was near telephones or somehting like that. She had to ask and they showed her where it was.

Ugh! I tried looking for it at another Big Lots today and could not find it. I looked in stationary and by the software and did not find it. If I get A chance to go back, I will see if they have a "technology" section. I'll p[robably end up spending more money in gas to find this software than I should!

The Easter Bunny brought DS8 The Incredibles DVD which came packaged with an Incredibles "Print Studio" CD-ROM. Since The Incredibles are technically Disney (as well as Pixar), we're going to attempt to craft our door sign and CM appreciation cards using this software.
