FYI on Bounceback

We were there at end of Sept and I knew about Bounceback. I foolishly went for the cheapest pkg thinking I could always upgrade rooms later on if our budget looked good. Since then my parents have decided to come and want to stay at deluxe. I tried calling today to book them a room (separate) and change my pkg with free dining....and nothing was available at all for my dates! They could find 3 days at OKW or Saratoga, but then I'd have to have a new reservation at full price. I was shocked...but it's my own fault!

Lesson learned - do homework ahead of time - speak to husband in more detail - LOL

She did tell me that with each new promo new rooms are allocated - so theres still hope since we typically go during free dining and / or last year I got a 40% off code.

Just wanted people to know...pick wisely on your first attempt with bounceback!!

Hmm... what were your dates? I had also booked Pop for bounceback, intending on possibly upgrading.

We also booked the Bounceback Free Dining Promo, originally at ASMovies. DH thought he would then surprise me by changing our ressie to POR French Quarter since I had said we should go Mod this next trip if we had all year to pay it off (but as usual decided I didn't want to spend the extra money LOL). But he forgot that my parents also booked during the Promo and are still booked at ASMovies! Ugh!!

And now there aren't any Values open for our dates so that we can switch back. As much as I would love to stay at a Mod, I also hate to spend the extra money when we are hardly in our rooms and this trip we will need to buy an extra plane ticket and budget $$ for tips.

So hopefully, we can come across an availability for 9/12-9/20 with the Free Dining. LOL

If you call to modify this promo you must be connected with someone in Guest Services, or your CM must speak with someone in Guest Services to do any modifications. Otherwise anything you want to change will show as unavailable since the promo has expired. I'm not even sure if the CM's who answer the phones will see that your ressie is the free dining bounceback promo so they may not be clued in to contact GS on your behalf.---Kathy

She did exactly that...talked to Guest Services and kept coming back to me.
My ressie could not be switched except for 3days....everything was taken for this promo. I'm making the best of it and hoping Free Dining Dates work and I can get a different hotel then (most likely mod and I'll put one of my kids on my parents ressie and ask for connecting rooms). Otherwise we'll be fine....IT's A DISNEY TRIP afterall.....
