FYI... Disneyland closing at 5pm on Oct 21!

Just a FYI... Disneyland is closing at 5pm on Oct 21 for a Private Party! They wouldn't say who it was for but they did say the Miley Cyrus is only having 1 party! Also no extra hours in DCA... So plan accordingly!

I think it might just be a typo! The parade is listed that day at 7pm!

OK so I just called Guest services and was told that someone booked a "Private Party". That's all they could say!

Yea... When I used to live in Cali. My parents worked for McDonnel Douglas which bought out the park 1 night every year... Those were good times!

I feel for those who have vacations planned on all these days where events are happening. Frustrating for those who have a limited amount of time in the parks, only to have them close at 5 pm!

It is Myley Cyrus's 16th birthday and we got tickets! They were selling tickets for the event...but they sold out SO fast. She will be performing that night and only sold 5,000 tickets. The party is 6pm-11pm. Did anyone else get tickets?? The event was posted on Disney's website.

But on the subject of the B-day party, selling out fast is a matter of opinion, 2 weeks seems kids of long to me. Personally I have absolutely no desire to go, but hope you have a great time.

Hahaha... I was thinking the same thing... 5000 tickets in 2 hours is fast... 5000 tickets in 2 weeks is

Thats what we'er doing. We get in the afternoon of the Oct. 5th. We were gonna go in and just walk around main street and enjoy being at Disneyland...but with Miley and the errands we'll be hitting goofy's that night.

I just emailed Disney to complain. I know that it is their perogative to change times, but at least they offered extended hours at DCA for Oct. 5!!! I do not see a change to the hours of DCA for Oct. 21. I just pointed out that they offered the extra hours to DCA for the 5th. Could they not offer that to us for the 21st? I would think that the more people that email or call, the more likely they are to make that change!! Would you join in?
