FYI ..Convention at Grand Floridian 5/12 - 5/15

Hi Just wanted to let you know of a convention heading down to Disney World from May 12 to May 15 .. There are about 350 people coming and staying at the Grand Floridian.. Michelle

Do you know what the occasion for the convention is?

While it's always interesting to know who or what convention is in progress, there is no need for concern. There is always (or should always be) a conference of some type going on at all of the Disney convention hotels. Generally, they have little impact on guests staying at the resort.

I work for an Insurance company that give trips to a customer service convention hosted by disney .. It sometime causes a park or restaurant to close a bit early cause they host special things for the people attending the convention ( one year they had a block party at MGM so MGM closed a bit early that night ) I posted it in case someone saw a tweak in the hours during that week as an FYI that this could be the reason.. just trying to help out the May travelers and let them know these people will be here is all .. Michelle
