FYI about DVC DinIng Discounts

I guess I just missed this earlier, but we were at Via Napoli tonight and they would not honor the 15% DVC discount stating that Easter Sunday was a "blackout" date. Apparently, DVC discounts are following the TIW blackout dates. It would be nice if they clarified this a little more on the DVC Member Discounts page.

In the past, the perks PDF from the DVC site has the blackout dates at the bottom.


Edit: Just looked at 2016 and they no longer list specific days. Just "Block-out dates apply for all offers, including, but not limited to Christmas and New Year’s Day"

Can't say that's really clear.

We got a DVC discount at Artist Point on NYE a few months ago! We had not asked, our server told us about it. We were surprised and happy, since we knew it was a blacked out date for our TIW card.

Yes, that's what I was getting at. They really need to be more clear on it.

I am sure the issue is that different restaurant operators want to block out different dates. I think we'll have to ask if the discount applies if it happens to be a holiday.

Wow I would never have thought any discounts would apply on NYE ... Good to know !!!!
I guess it never hurts to ask

Do you think there are any places with discounts for Mother's Day ????
