I'm in a panic because I want a FW fireworks wagon ride on our day of arrival (my Bday and this is in the budget as a FW cruise isn't) and you can't reserve them in advance of ride day. Has anyone done these? How early in the day and exactly where do you make the reservations? Can I call to sign up giving credit card over phone? I know they don't take credit cards at the rides, but can you prepay at sign up with a credit card? :confused3 How quickly do the fireworks rides fill up? TIA for any experience and information you can share. :listen:

You can't prepay or reserve space. We've done a couple of them, a regular one and a fireworks one, and just purchased our seats from the driver across from Pioneer Hall about 30 minutes ahead of our ride time. If Wishes is at 9:00 the wagon will depart at 7:00 and 8:30, with the 8:30 ride stopping for fireworks viewing, with music. If Wishes is at any other time then the rides are at 7:00 and 9:30.

WoW I did not know they did this. I knew about the hay ride but had no ideal that there was a Fire Works hayride. I think I'll have to try that.
Thanks
Cindy

I've done so much research, I am getting confused about where I read what, but I know that I read you can sign up the morning of the wagon ride. Has anyone done this - when/how/paid?

We walked right on after HDDR. No problem at all and a ton of fun. Just remember to bring bug spray. We were being eaten alive when we stopped to see the fireworks until a nice lady shared hers!

You can't sign up or reserve the wagon rides, it is first come, first served.

This is great information. How is the fireworks view from the hayride? Also... Are the fireworks very loud from this location? (I have a little one who doesn't like loud noises.)

Thanks!!!

The view is great, although from a distance, obviously. The fireworks themselves are not loud at all, and the soundtrack that goes along with them was at a reasonable volume, I thought. It would be great for small children who don't like to be too close. You're off to the side, but can still see the top of the castle and Space Mountain, plus, the fireworks are reflected in the water which we thought was nice.

This sounds pretty neat...

- We are going in August. Does it rain in the evening a lot in August (it seemed to when we went in June).

- is this a high demand activity? do you have to get there really early?

- how much is it?

:thanks:

I think the rain is normally finished by that time of evening, but August is a rainy month like June, so it's always a possibility. We did it in September and it was drizzly that night but stopped before the wagon ride started. We've done two and they weren't full, but I'm not sure if that was unusual or not. Most of the people who were on the ride didn't purchase their seats until close to ride time. We purchased ours half an hour or so ahead and I think we were first both times, or close to it.
