FW Cabins

We are planning on going to Disney in May and staying in a Fort Wilderness cabin. I know there's a TV in the living room area, but have been told they took the TV out of the bedroom. Since we are two families going, a second TV in the bedroom would be nice, if we bring our own TV and cables (from our trailer) is the connection still in the bedroom or is a second TV not an option? Also, do you need to bring your own dishwasher detergent?

I can't answer the TV question but as for the dishwasher...there was dishwashing liquid (or powder, can't remember which) provided when we stayed there this past July.

We stayed in a cabin in 1995 and there was no TV in the bedroom at that time. They have since added more cabins, so there may not be a connection at all in the bedrooms. You could call registration/help desk for FWC and ask them maybe? I bet there might be a phone list somewhere here on The DIS.

Maybe you could bring DVD's and a player/TV combo?

We stayed there in 1999 and there WAS a tv in the bedroom. I also would suggest calling to ask for sure.

We stayed in the cabins in August. There is not a TV in the bedroom, however, there is room for one just inside the bedroom. I believe that is where they used to have one. I also think I remember someone on the Camping Board saying the hookups were there for cable. They haven't changed anything in them from original so I would believe that to be true.

We stayed at the cabins in Sept. Don't know about the TV hook-up. I would call Ft Wilderness to be sure. Don't worry about DW detergent. Mousekeeping cleans the kitchen. We always left our dirty dishes in the sink and they always loaded up the DW and washed them for us!! One of the wonderful things about the cabins!
