I have a friend that needs a campground during Mardi Gras week at Disney. Fort Wilderness is booked and he can't get a reservation. He is coming from Louisiana so he doesn't want to bring his camper and family and not have a place to stay. Any suggestions for a campground in the area?

We stayed at Sherwood Forest Resort during Christmas week for 100.00.We had a blast. They don't have cable but who needs it when on vacation.They had wireless internet you could get for 15.00 for the week!They had activities but we were so busy that we missed out. They are owned by the same people as Tropical Palms.We are thinking about booking for Christmas again. The people there were very nice.

But is that a camping/RV park? i noticed there are 3 KOA's in the area, kissimmee/orlando, orlando s.e., and orlando s.w. You can always trust a KOA!

Tropical Palms is a campground. It is located behind Old Town. We have been going to Old Town for years and never knew it was there. It was a nice campground also. We talked to a very nice man who lived there full time. He was the one who told us about Sherwood. I think you would be pleased with either one.

We have stayed at Tropical Palms and the KOA off 192. We like Tropical Palms so much better!! The KOA was clean, but not someplace we want to go back to. It felt like a big parking lot :-(
