Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think with my 6 years of being on the Budget board I've reached my apex?
ME, DW, and 2 DSs (5 & 7)
Trip one Sept. 30 - Oct. 8, 2006. 8 nights AS Movies. Free Dining.
--- (Package) $1630. (add AP upgrade at park.. $730)
Trip two Feb 10 - 16, 2007. 7 nights POP.
--- (room only w/AP discount) $465.
Trip three Sept. 22 - 30, 2007 (last week of APs). 8 nights POP. Free Dining.
--- (package $1008 - $262(value of 1 day tix for future trip)) $746.
So...
TOTALS
Three Trips
23 nights
23 days in the parks
16 TS meals for 4 (64TS)
16 CS meals for 4 (64CS)
and 64 snacks.
$3571! $1190 per trip, for 2 adults and 2 children. AND two of those included FREE dining!!! (I'm good with that number... and not much fuzzy math there)
I SHOULD QUIT WHILE I'M AHEAD... But lets get fuzzy!
On the first trip we got about $1100 worth of free food, this trip will be more (we did all 3 dinner shows last time so the value/credit was lower) This trip will be 8 sit downs, so lets just say $1400 for easy math.
SO lets subtract the $2500 worth of free dining and we are down to $1071.
Getting fuzzier... $357 per trip.
And Disney Visa rewards... I think we had almost $250 for the first trip and $120 for the next, maybe $80 for the next one.
Fuzzier yet, Dare I say Disney Fuzzy and take $450 off that $1071. $621 for three trips!
$207 per trip???
It may sound like braggin, and yes I'm proud, but it's the budget board.... Maybe I'll educate someone, maybe I'll inspire someone, and perhaps let someone know that it can be 'affordable'
With the gas cost and shopping, food for the non free dining trip we are at 5k or so??? But divide that by 2 years... I'm calling this two years worth of vacations (51 weeks apart= 1 vacation per year) So with an annual vacation budget of $2500/ it's possible to do Disney... if you hang out on these boards enough... and can do fuzzy math.
