Hi -

I am scheduled to sail on the Disney Wish November 28th and have an deluxe ocean view room with veranda (no restrictions).

wondering with all this ever changing world of Covid :
1) when is my “paid in full date ?”
2) should I opt to cancel , would I receive a full refund ?
2a) if I opt to cancel , on what date do you suggest I cancel in order to receive a full refund ??
3) do I have to be “paid in full” in order to receive a full refund ?
4) should I opt to cancel , on what date should I do so ?
5) if I cancel on the “paid in full” date , ….. considering the “new relaxed Disney cruise line cancellation policy, would I lose my Disney vacation protection monies ?
6) what is the new Disney cancellation policy as applicable to me ?
their wording is very confusing -

TIA as I’m weighing my options on this -

How I wish Covid would just gggooooooaawwaayyyyyyyy…….

COVID isn't going away, so let's put that thought away.

That said, the current PIF and cancellation policies are only in affect through 9/30/22, so what we know right now doesn't apply to your November 2022 sailing. That said, if you're worried about COVID restrictions, don't pay in full. I just went to book your cruise and it says modify or cancel without fee by 8/30/22, which I'm assuming is a 90 day PIF policy. DCL is constantly pushing the dates out based on current COVID situations, but right now, that's the date you have to cancel by to get a full refund and teh current cancellation policy does not apply to you because DCL has no clue what COVID will be like in November.

August 30th and receive a full refund with no penalty … and receive your trip insurance money back as well …
Got it -
A huge thank you for clearing this up -

Me bad —-
I was being silly when saying how I wish Covid would go away .
Btw, yes - I too began to just realize as of yesterday that yes — Covid is here to stay whether we like it or not .

If you have booked trip insurance through Disney Cruise Line, the insurance purchase will not actually be made until your paid in full date. If you cancel before your "paid in full" date of August 30, you can get a full refund of all payments you have made. This is the standard policy for Disney Cruises. You do not need to have paid the full cost in order to get a refund -- if all you've paid is the deposit, then that's what you would get back.

If part of the payments you have made are through Future Cruise Credit for cancelled cruises, it is more complicated, because FCC cannot be refunded. I think that if you have not used any part of the FCC on an actual cruise yet, you can get a refund for all money you actually paid out-of-pocket, but I don't have personal experience with that.

If Disney Cruise does extend the relaxed cancellation policy to include your cruise, then it is possible that you could get a refund of your payments even after the original "paid in full" date, but as mentioned above, this is not currently the case for November sailings.

I can’t believe I’m not grasping this so:

1) so far I’ve only paid $2k of which part of that of course is the deposit . So

a( if I choose to ,would I be able to cancel and if so by when and wound I receive all my money back ?

You can cancel any time before August 30 (the paid in full date for your cruise) and get all of your payments refunded.

Ok - now I get it -
Thank you all for clarifying this -
