I was hoping people could post what cast members have told them about the future of the fireworks dessert party beyond July 4th, 2015? I have heard so many things! I've heard that the party is being discontinued after July 4th. I've also heard that the fireworks schedule is delaying the party reservations (but the party will resume once the schedule is figured out). What have people heard recently? I really, really hope Disney releases definitive information one way or the other. I for one will be sooo sad if it's discontinued. It was one of the few 'extra fun things to do' that wasn't ridiculously expensive. :(

I'm right with you on this one! I've never done the dessert party and was hoping to go in July. I've only talked to one CM about it and they didn't have any information, just said to keep checking. Hoping for something, ANYTHING, from Disney on this. In the meantime I just check as often as I can so that I can get my Disney booking high when (if?) it finally opens up! :)

I really would like to know also. We want a reservation for this coming August. It was at the top of our list of to do things.

Is 180 days open for August yet? Like I said before they don't typically open up right at 180 days out its random. You just have to check every day.

I know this has come up in the past...several times....they do not always load those dates for booking , and then they magically appear one day....it very well may be at the 180 day mark as the previous poster mentioned. I wouldn't worry, this scenario has occurred many times, always with a happy ending! Good luck!

Ok thanks, I will be stocking the Disney reservations website!

We were hoping to book the Fireworks Dessert Party for July 11. I've been stalking the booking site for two months now since our 180 day window opened, and there is still no availability after July 4th. This doesn't seem like the usual 'sometimes the dates load later'. Has anybody else heard anything? maybe with the hub redesign it is being replaced by a different experience?? Who could we call or email who might have more info?

I've been hearing more and more rumours that the party is going to be replaced with something else. Makes me so sad, because the 'something else' could very well be much more expensive! I'm not sure who to call/email. Each time I phone CRO, I get conflicting information.

Maybe they will move it to a new location. Do you think they might do it at the new designed hub? I always wanted to try it and haven't had the chance yet.

How could they do it in the hub? That just wouldn't work and the two lo actions that have opened aren't that large but they are for FP viewing.

Just a thought.... Since everyone is speculating anyway.

Surely they will announce what they are doing soon :sad2: That is one of the main things we wanted to do.

We are going to be at WDW over spring break and have the dessert party booked. I will ask the castmember there and see what I can find out for you. I hope it isn't going to be canceled after the 4th! I was hoping to make this a regular thing that we would do on our vacations along with O'hana and the BBB for my daughter.

Thanks that would be great if you can find out anything :)

Spoke to CRO yesterday to reserve a time in the first week of September and they said that as far as they can tell it has not been discontinued, they just have not loaded the dates to reserve yet. "check back later":headache:

No idea what is happening but we did do the Dessert Party a couple weeks ago. We did the Star Wars Party last year and have looked at up close the Frozen and Illuminations Party. We paid much less than the others so I didn't expect there to be the same event but it still wasn't what I had seen in pictures. What I saw was a lost opportunity for Disney to make it much nicer and charge more. It could be now that the gardens are open and hub is in final stages they have decided to up the wow value on this party - and they should.

- No there is no alcohol at MK but the ability to SIT at tables was a huge perk and worth the trade off to me.
- The view to Wishes is awesome particularly if you jumped up early to get front row but it was so "sold out" that the viewing was 3 rows deep standing and that was with some folks opting to stay at their tables. Because of the roof standing back further is not an option like the other parties to remain further back with a view.
- The desserts - wide variety, some not so good, some very good, and mostly just good. Scooped ice Cream sundae, fruit and plenty of options to drink.
- Setup with the food was all crammed in a corner on un-decorated roll out carts and it was very congested at times. They have the space to make this a fluid setup. At the other parties the food setup was really pretty and themed and easy to move around. They missed the mark on this one.
- I've seen many pictures of the Wishes parties past where food was on nicer tables with decorations underneath, desserts on a variety of platters and levels. This was not even close to pictures online.
- A cheezy cardboard name tag taped to our table missing the confetti I've seen in pictures. No covering, no lighting, no decor like the other parties. Just what is always there. Party could have been set up in a few minutes.

While we enjoyed it once I probably would not do it again because it didn't feel like a party, just an expensive FP+ with dessert if that makes sense. Now with the new FP+ areas I would rather book that and take in our own little picnic of sweets.

I think they should bump up the price closer to the other parties. Add tablecloth and lighting and make it nice like the other parties. Set the food up on nicely covered and themed tables in a format that we can move around with ease. Bring in cool desserts like you found at all the other parties .... the Wishes desserts pale in comparison. I would pay the higher price for a special experience that I just don't think is there right now.

Fingers crossed the Wishes Party comes back online, bigger and better!
