future airline prices

[Obsessed w/Disney in OH]

In the wake of the recent tragedies, what is your prediction on air prices? Will they go up, down, or stay about the same? I am trying to decide about buying plane tickets for Disney in January. So far, our plans are to go but I haven't purchase the plane tickets yet. It is so hard to say what will happen to the airline industry...veteran travelers, please take your best guess.

Like so many of you, I hate to be thinking about vacation when we are all mourning the loss of so many. But this recent tragedy has reminded us that life is too short and we are going to spend as much quality time as possible with our kids--where better than Disney?

So, wait and see OR buy at the price it is now?

My theory is that once the airlines get their scheduling worked out they will have a sale resulting in short term lower prices to get us back in the air. Long term I think prices will go up.

they will have a wonderful sale coming up to entice travelelrs back to the air. then after that I expect them to be about the same or maybe 10-20 higher. and I am curious now to see what happens with deregulation.
