Hi everyone i have yet another question :teeth:

My partner is a very fussy eater! No really he is! He lives on bread, fish fingers and alphabites

He wont try anything new! So any tips on simple plain eating at disney?

Also is there anywhere you can buy stuff like crisps, muffins, drinks etc to keep in your room cheaply?

I'm also quite fussy but have no problems in WDW. Most counter service restaurants do plain chicken strips and fries, and most burgers come plain (you then add your extras from the toppings bars - onions, lettuce, tomato etc.).
If you are staying onsite the Disney resorts all have shops where you can buy crisps, cookies etc. to keep your room snacks stopped up :)

You can get fresh fruit in most of the parks too.

Check out the menus here:

That should give you an idea of whats available in WDW. I find the restaurants quite accommodating when asks to leave sauces off, or supply them on the side.

Lorapinky - he sounds just like someone i work with who lives on bacon sandwiches, Heinz (and ONLY Heinz) tomato soup, chicken nuggets and smilie faces!!! I don't think a vegetable has ever passed that boys lips!!! But he has been to Florida twice and managed just fine, although he did become addicted to Lucky Charms cereal whilst he was there and now makes everyone he knows going to America bring him back boxes of the stuff!!! There are so many places offering such a wide range of grub you're other half's bound to find something he likes. ;)

I went with very fussy children, we found that there were always foods in the buffets for the sit down meals, and counter service usually had something.

I don't know if it is any good, but there is now listed a 'fish and chip' shop on International Drive if you are in that area.

Ive got a husband like that LOL! He is much better now (he even eats curry!), but would quite happily live on fish finger sandwiches forever if given the chance!

The US arent big on fish fingers, but a lot of places serve "fish and chips" which are gougon strips of fish, very much like fish fingers, but battered!! My DH loves these :)

There is a huge choice of food, from the simple - chicken strips and fries, to sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, wraps as well as tons of chicken and steak dishes. If he cant find anything to eat there, then he is a lost cause!!

All the supermarkets sell chips(crisps) and have a lot of familiar varieties like Kettle chips, Pringles and Doritos. Muffins are available everywhere! MK does a mean hot dog, plus lots of snacks like Mickey ice creams, pretzels, churros, turkey legs, smoothies, fresh fruit, popcorn (salty..bleeeuurrgh) and cheetos (wotsit style crisps).

thanks everyone!

I think he may like the fish and chips! He has recently started to eat cheese and tomato pizza (but it must be plain and have no actual tomato bits on it...) so he might find them ok, if not he'll just have to eat crisps all day long :rotfl2:

cheers everyone

I have a VERY fussy 7 year old son - Cornflakes, Rice Krispies, banana yogurt, toast - but not American bread as it is too "fluffy" inside (?!?!?) - Doritos and McDonalds chips! He struggles a bit when on holiday, even in Florida, but we get by, even if it means feeding him first and then eating out!

Try Golden Corral - their fish was good (and quite like fish fingers) and the cheese pizza was acceptable to my daughter who also dislikes "bits"! It was busy and noisy but everyone got fed! (Oliver was in charge of the ice cream service - he didn't eat much, but it kept him happy!!)

Ha ha! That's just what I eat for dinner :earboy2:

I am extremely fussy and also suffer from lactose intolerance meaning I can't digest dairy properly so i struggle... which is why I LOVE America!

Burgers, chicken strips, fries, monterey jack and ham melts (yeah I pop the pills to eat the cheese) it's like heaven in the restaurants - and they let you eat from the kid's menu too!

You can get all of that "junk food" in the parks - and we usually eat in the diners on the 192 so dinner is sorted too.

Of course if you want to try some of the classier restaurants he may have to be brave - but I'm lucky in the fact that my DH2B likes it plain too. The one thing he misses is big chunky chips as they just don't cook em that way over there :0)

Seriously, don't worry he will be absolutely fine :Pinkbounc
