Further Proof...

Oh my. Is he color blind by any chance? Maybe he thought it was like green and yellow...and maybe his eyes are a bit off and he thought that was a bumble bee???

Well..maybe grandpa is color blind, but I would use it...who cares if it is pink and purple...it IS the thought that counts

I would very politely thank them for the gift and then RUN to the store to get something more "boyish". I'd keep the pink & purple bedding around just in case of an emergency (think getting sick at 3 AM) but wouldn't use it all the time.

It was sweet of them to be so generous.

::yes:: I'm not color blind but I had problems seeing the colors on my screen. Until I clicked on the close up pic the set looked light blue & the butterflys didn't stand out, perhaps he had the same problem?

trust me...use it..It is a waste to buy more "toddler bed" sheets..they only use the toddler bed for a short time....if I could go back, I wouldn't have ordered the bedding set that I did...such a waste of money that could be used for something else!

If you are that opposed to using them, then I suggest using them only when Grandpa comes over...saves hurt feelings

Very pretty for a little girl though. :teeth:

Trust me. If he knew he ordered pink and purple bedding for his grandson, he'd be mortified. It was a mistake. I know him well enough to know this. He's a total guys guy. He wouldn't ever ever order this on purpose. I think he didn't realize.
I'm going to mention it to my mother in law...

I just called my mother in law and she's horrified that he ordered the wrong thing.
She said I should send it back and get something else. I said "well, he doesn't care much. I just thought it was funny" She said "PJ can't sleep on BUTTERFLIES!"
So back it goes for an exchange...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Poor PJ. If he doesn't get rid of that bed before he gets too old he'll be the object of every bully in school.

Ok you found out it was a mistake. I thought it might be his way of telling you he wanted a granddaughter. :teeth:

I may be wrong (it has happened once) but I think that toddler bed sheets are just crib sheets. You use the matress from the crib and put it in a 'toddler sized' bed. So you probably have sheets that will fit already.

LOL, I'm kinda sure he wants one of those too...But I don't think he wants to go as far as turning my Patrick into a Patricia...

Oh really? Now this I didn't know...that's great news though...That might save me some major heaches down the road...

Really? I'll have to see if that works when it comes time to get Bugsy a 'toddler' bed. He's still in the crib for now because he can't climb out of it.......yet.

Yes, toddler beds use a crib mattress (and sheets). But most crib sets do not come with a flat sheet or standard pillowcase. We just used all of the crib sheets we had and the crib comforter and standard pillowcases we already had. My kids had a 'blankie' they used instead of a flat sheet.
