The year after I bought PB came out with their "PB basic grand" sofa which is the exact same size as the Rowe. I may be wrong but I think that possibly Pottery Barn contracts different companies to manufacture for them under the PB name.

Yes... thats exactly what they do. There is no "Pottery Barn" factory where they make all this stuff. That would be incredibly expensive. They buy their merchandise from many different manufacturers and put their label on it.

Yes, there is a PB Outlet in Memphis. On the PB site, go to the store location page and it should let you pick "outlets" and give a list of all the outlets in the country. I got my PB sectional at the outlet store in memphis, and it was nowhere near catalog price Good luck to you!

We have a joke in our house that IKEA is Swedish for Kmart.

Even funnier because we just made a trip to Ikea in Pittsburgh this weekend from Cleveland. I was in that dang store for about 10 hours the past two days. I do have to say though, I noticed some better quality stuff there than my last visit a year and a half ago. My brother is starting his own business, so some Ikea furniture and stuff worked out great for him, but I also noticed amoung the cheap stuff, some very nice pieces. I don't think I'd buy a couch from them, but they had some really nice "you'd never know it was from Ikea" shelving, bookcases, desks and cabinets.

I really like World Market for furniture and other decorative things. We recently bought a dining room set from them...the Chemia line. You can see it on their website. It is some kind of very heavy hard wood and we are very pleased with the quality. I too love Pottery Barn and even worse...Restoration Hardware. I have to try to save SOME money for Disney so I don't shop there too often.
