I remember there was a thread not too long ago about this subject, but I couldn't find it.

My sister and I were talking about this today, how young children are sometimes honest to a fault.

I remembered when my niece, Maggie, was an infant, her older sister Abby (2.5 at the time) was just thrilled with the 'new baby' and could not keep her hands off of her. When Maggie was a few weeks old, my sister brought the girls over for a visit. I was holding Maggie on my lap, sitting on the couch with Abby and she was telling me all of the cool things about babies. My sister got up to use the rest room and Abby whispers to me "I like when Mommy leaves the room, that is when I can touch the baby's eyes" I just about fell over laughing. My sister wasn't impressed. :lmao: :lmao:

I am sure you all have some funny kid stories, share with me...

My niece Maggie (age 6) loves to 'do' my hair. She usually puts as many clips, hair bows & ribbons as she possible can. Well, last weekend I was visiting, she was doing my hair & then she says "I want to dress you up as a mommy". I figured she was going to do my hair like her mom's. Then she took these 2 very long ribbons she had & started wrapping my head with them. Then it hit me--she meant mummy! :rotfl:

Said by my then 3-year-old DD as we were in the car driving past a cemetary: 'Hey, Mommy, look - that's where all the dead people live!'

Well my DD4 just came out of her room wearing sunglasses, flip flops, a hula skirt, with a backpack & her suitcase. I asked her where she was going and she said to Florida to see Jimmy Buffett!!! LOL we have a Buffett problem in our house :)

DS found a golf ball in our house (don't have a clue where it came from because we are not golfers). He was busy playing with it for a while when he decided he needed a restroom break. He brings it over to me and says: Here - hold my Epcot! :lmao: We still call golf balls "Epcots" in our house. ;)

When my son Justin was 3 he was upstairs in his room and looked out the window and it was snowing...he ran downstairs and as he passed a window he yelled..."Hey Dad it's snowing down here too":lmao:

Then there was the time at about the same age, he told my MIL that he didn't want her pancakes because they tasted like the S word for poop...I had some explaining to do on that one:lmao:

I LOVE it!!

You're raising that boy right! :thumbsup2

My DS4 will NOT eat mashed potatos...His reasoning? quote "I don't like the mash in the mash potatos.". ;)

 :scared1:

I thought of another one. About 6 months ago I was making dinner and DS came in the kitchen and asked me if we bought our house or if we built it. I told him that we bought it a few months before he was born. He turned to walk away then turned back around with a confused look on his face and asked me: How did Daddy get it in the car? :rotfl: :rotfl:

When going through the drive-thru pharmacy a little voice from the back seat said "I'll have fries".

Tonight I asked DD 'Who colored with marker on this toy??'

She replied: 'Someone I don't know did it.'

I usually do all my errand running all in one day, and my dd (5) hates to have to go with me. After being on the run for a few hours and we were just leaving Aldi's, she sighed and said she would be glad to be home so she could play, but I had to tell her we still had to go to the grocery, because Aldi's doesn't have everything we need. She looked confused and said, "Why are they called All These if they don't have everything?"

And

My niece asked if I was going to come and see her "reformance", she was going to be the "Sugar Flum Pairy"!!

We went to Dan DIego when my daughter was around 3.5. She especially loved Sea World.

When we got home, she was drawing a picture of...I guess it looked like a fish?? So I asked her what it was and she told me it was a picture of "shampoo"

You know...like Shamu. :)

Having 4 kids I've heard it all, but two of my favorites are from my now 16yo. When he was a toddler he saw me going to the bathroom. He wasn't potty trained yet and I mentioned to him that before long he was going to start peeing in the potty but he would stand up and his response was, "oh, no, that's dangerous". He thought he would have to stand up on the seat. :rotfl2:

And another Ben story when he was about 4yo. He said the word, God, and I told him to say "gosh" instead. He asked me, "Who is Gosh, God's wife?".

My all time favorite was from my nephew, Billy. When Billy was about three years old he was sitting on the floor playing with his truck. His mom was in the kitchen doing dishes or something and she heard Billy say "This damn truck." My SIL turned around and said to Billy "Billy! What did you just say?" To which Billy replied all innocent like "This frigging truck?" (But he didn't say frigging. :sad2: )

A girl after my own heart!!!!:cool1:
