We were in the bathroom...and I had a sweatshirt on with "POOH" written on the front....and when we were in front of the mirror...she said (she just turned 7)....."It looks like it says 'hoop" in the mirror mom".....I agreed and said that it is cause everything is opposite in a mirror.

Anyway, she has one blue eye and one brown eye.....and then says, while pointing to her blue eye "then this is really my brown eye then".....

I just thought that was kinda funny....I tried to explain.....but she just didn't get it

Wait until she finds out in Science that nothing really has color, it's all just a reflection of light (or something like that;) ). I tried to explain to my dd that her eyes aren't really blue and she really didn't want to listen to that.;) (she'll be 10 this month)

Shannon......I don't even know that concept......

Oh my gosh! That is adorable! :p :p :p

I always wanted one blue eye and one brown eye. I had a Great Dane that had that combination. I have two green. How boring. :p

Lisa, it's kinda hard for me to explain.:o Here's a little bit about what I'm talking about:

Did you ever wonder why you see the colors you do or if other animals see the same colors that you see? We see light that bounces off of things around us. When the light enters our eyes, special cells tell our brains about the light. These cells are called photoreceptors. Light is made of little bits called photons. When the sun shines, trillions and trillions of these little bits of light fall on the earth. The photons bounce off of almost everything and some of them enter our eyes. Those bits that enter our eyes allow us to see.

Maggie, green eyes are not boring.:) I love green eyes. I wish I had green eyes.:( My grandfather had 1 brown eye and 1 green eye.:)

I bet Madison gets a lot of compliments about her eyes, doesn't she, Lisa?:)
