Ugh, I'm officially a driving bad luck charm. I've been in two friend's first "accidents" which were really just bumps.

This happened on the way to see The Princess and The Frog:
My friend and I got rear-ended at a stop light today, just a quick jolt and her car wasn't damaged at all. So we pull into a lot, and it turns out that it's a kid, only about a year older than us, and none of us knows what to do so we all call our parents. His car has a hole/crack in the bumper, but my friend's is absolutely fine.

So, his mom comes to help us out, gets us out of the cold and explains what to do/exchange info/ just being super nice. And when we're talking about exchanging info. this kid goes:

"Well, this is an awkward way to get your number!" :rotfl::rotfl:

We died, and in the meantime his mom is saying things like "now all he just has to figure out how to tell his father"
And embarrassed, he keeps saying stuff like "Coool mom, coool"

So, at least her first accident was no big deal and a bit of an education.

Unfortunately, we had to go to a later showing of P&tF, but it was a funny experience and we spent time winding down in a coffee shop afterwards, LOLing about what just happened.

i had my first accident and got pulled over for the first time in the same night. (i'm not a bad driver, i swear)

it was nov 30, and i had seen five or six other cars pulled over (so i'm thinking the cops were just out en mass.) and this guy has been tailgating me for about five minutes, then he flashes on lights. so i pull over, and i'm SO much in park that i haven't even taken my foot off the break yet. and the cop plows into my back, TWICE. yes. the cop hit me.

i didn't file a report, and i didn't get a ticket. i had no damage, but my 04 Kia Optima wrecked his brush guard.

the best part is that my insurance wasn't notified, because i'm sure it would have gone through the roof over that one.
