I mean at this point it’s almost a joke .. but really how long is the most anyone has been on hold 🤣🤣… I’m at 6.5 hours … I don’t know what to do at this point !! I mean I’m listening to the Disney music to the point I might never want to hear it again 🤣🤣 I’m certainly dreaming it !!

BTW .. any other day I’d call back… but I need to cancel my RCI ressie I held yesterday.. the ONLY way is by phone .. and it has to be done today or my points are taken..

I am so sorry. Today is the worst day given the early booking for the new Star Wars hotel.

These types of days will always be tough.

Same here, unfortunately I made it to 2 1/2 hours and then it updated to say another 290 minutes. I couldn't stay on any longer. I think this is appalling, and am so disgusted with how Disney is handling this.

So 7 hours and 33 minutes later...... I got a human !!!! (my wait time did increase as well !! ) I was able to cancel my RCI and my life can now go back to normal and phone off the charger !:rotfl2:

I also rented out my DVC to a lovely woman thanks to the Rental board here in that time... so my day though frustrating on eternal hold... was rewarding in the end !

Indeed the wait was due to a Star Wars early booking rush... I almost considered booking it since I waited that long !! But it was like 600 points and 3k.. and I don't love Star Wars that much ! Plus she said after her I would have to wait another 2-3 hours :rotfl2: !

For the Love of Disney..... Don't hang up !! LOL

Given that all members pay for MS but only blue card owners can book this the Star Wars Hotel, MS wait time should not be affected this way. DVD should pay for the extra staffing needed to handle such a spike caused by a perk

DVCMC receives funding beyond membership dues and thus has other revenue that can be used to provide services like this.

But as was discussed in a long thread recently, we pay them a set fee and its up to them to decide how the choose to manage the program. They are allowed to provide services like this. Of course, as owners, we should let them know long waits are not acceptable.

I agree it would be great to see more staff added for things like this, or at the very least, set it up so things could be done online.

I think the company as a whole is still struggling with staffing as those booking this via the AP line also faced very long waits.

I was on hold for more than two hours yesterday to adjust tickets. Chat with DVC as well to link a stay at Aulani which ended up nearly 25 minutes. Recently, it was Boo Bash, then AP's for our kids and now adding nights to our tickets (probably will convert to AP's onsite)...total time on hold probably 12+ hours. Chats several hours.

I would really like to know how Star Wars hotel will work in conjunction with DVC points and cash, but I just can't invest that much time on hold no matter how much I love my son and DIL LOL!

:yoda:

Get use to it because this is how Disney rolls. Take your money but don't hire more people to help.

I had to call because it was the start of my 7 month window and I couldn’t do my reservation online due to the borrowing glitch. It took 30 min of calling in every few min to get past the busy single and for the phone to ring. Once I got to the menu and picked WDW resorts; it was only 15 min until I was talking to a CM.

Good to see I'm not the only one who thought that when I heard about the issues SW was having.

I spent Friday night at the airport embassy suites thanks to SW cancelling on me at the last minute (I was literally in line to board). But I don't want to roll too far off topic here. This is all just the latest "situation" since the covid era began. From what I've read, long hold times have been the norm for things like DCL when new sailings or promos open up. I'd probably just rent my DVC for cash and engage with a Dreams Unlimited agent if I did decide to try a Disney Cruise or someday. Let them earn some commission and sit on hold for me. Win/win for all :) (I will not be staying at the star wars hotel, despite my fondness for the original holy trilogy)

For those curious, my SW hold time was 5 hours and 7 minutes. I went to bed and left the phone on hold just so I could check the call log when I woke up to see how long it really took

Disney REALLY needs to get a handle on these wait times &busy signals. It's completely unacceptable. I cannot get expired tickets (from march 2020 that expired in September, which is BS in itself) updated and I cannot reserve a cabana because I either 1) cannot get through or 2) 2-6+ hour waits. I have been trying every few days since early September. It was AP sales mucking this up to special 50h activities and now I suppose the SW Galactic cruiser clogging the lines.

Make a workable website where I can do these things or hire more call staff.

Are you sure she didn't accidentally call Southwest this weekend? I see why SW and Disney partnered up for the 50th plane. Minimum 6 hour wait time to talk to either :sad2:
Unfortunately no, we drive 1,300 miles there. So even the hold time for Southwest and flight time is still way less than the 18 hour drive for us. Southwest does have some issues to deal with, that may be self inflicted.
