Sort of that way now in the mountain areas that get snow. School almost never gets canceled unless the power is out. Kids just shift to remote learning on what used to be snow days. Instead of having to be at school at 8 am, they have to be logging in by 8 am.I grew up in cold country where we never had school closings -- just trudged through two feet of snow, uphill both ways. Girls were required to wear dresses unless the temp was zero degrees outside.
