When my parents moved to an independent senior living community, my mom was dragged, kicking and screaming. She’d say to us, “Have you ever seen so many OLD people?” They were younger than she was!

I did the same thing only I was much younger then. I was watching PBS and Peter, Paul and Mary had just gotten back together again during one of those beg for money shows. The camera turned toward the audience and I said. Wow, look at all the old people in the audience. My wife looked at me and very quietly said... "They are our age". Talk about taking the wind out of my sails. And to think I was only in my 40's at the time.
