Oh yeah, my grandfather used that stuff. Man did it sting! I believe it's ilegal now.

The other one he used, and I still swear by it today, was a strong-smelling linament called Balsam of Mhyrr. It is intended for use on horses, but it is great on cuts and burns. I have a bottle that is really old, but you use so little of it that it lasts forever.

Nah, Mercurochrome isn't illegal; it's just hard to find because there are much better options available that don't make people scream and look like they are bleeding from an artery. I don't think that newer stuff has mrecury in it though. The original was banned due to mercury content.

My high school had two portable classrooms. That was in the early1970’s. Enrollment had peaked just before my years, and was starting to decline.

Now the school has additions and reconfigurations all over the place. I guess having those portables allowed us to have a dedicated student smoking room in one of the former classrooms in the main building!
