Topical water cooler comments, I might be stumbling across different news articles and TV than you but I don't wanna dig in then it's not amusing, people either get it or they won't. Explaining a sarcastic comment never makes it funny,or better, as evidenced many many demerits from school days. If a joke falls, leave it on the floor.

How would one anticipate what others do or do not know? Yoda I am not.
