I'm sure you know that it is just food coloring. All cheese is white. It's like the imagined difference between Coke and Pepsi. It's all the same folks.

Not really. I can't tell much of a difference in fountain drinks, but there is an obvious difference in Diet Pepsi & Diet Coke in a can or bottle. To me, Diet Coke tastes like a flat Diet Pepsi. FWIW, I know you said Coke & Pepsi, but I felt the same way, when I used to drink those.

That is probably whatever one was exposed to the most early on. I'm talking about the original Coke and Pepsi. I was involved with many of the Coke and Pepsi tests and it was very surprising how many absolute Coke drinkers picked Pepsi. I will admit to a difference in Diet drinks though. I drank Pepsi all my life but when I decided to cut back on sugar, I tried both and found the Coke Zero had less after taste then Pepsi, so I had to go with Coke. But, there is a difference in those two.

I can definitely tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. DH and I both prefer Dr. Pepper and can tell the difference between the taste of the canned, and the bottled.

I don't intentionally, but sometimes it is the same flavor as the white. So I will just close my eyes and enjoy.
