My mother still has hers in her living room. She never uses it, except as a side table, but she says it was too nice a piece of furniture to get rid of and then she'd have to replace it with something else anyway.

I had one about 13 years ago...painted it shabby-chic white. It was gorgeous as a sofa table, but heavy and huge!
