My day of awareness came years ago. I was watching a PBS showing of Peter, Paul and Mary's reunion show that had just happened close to that time, and at one point the camera panned the audience. I looked at it and said... man, there are so many old people in that audience! To which, my wife turned to me and said... "they're our age". What a deflation of self evaluation that was.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press does an annual contest for Peeps Dioramas that is featured in the Easter Sunday edition of the paper. They have been doing this as far back as I can remember. It will be available on their website at www.twincities.comView attachment 751178
Just discovered that making dioramas with them is a pretty common thing so now they are NOT a waste.

Chicago FD had a tragic loss today, a 55 year-old firefighter died at a fire. They showed a photo of him in better times on the news; he looked so old and I thought, “He’s two years younger than I am!”My day of awareness came years ago. I call first dibs on the old Disney Store as my apartment! Runner up would probably be a Gertrude Hawk because the walls will probably smell like chocolate forever. There could be Mallrats parties and everything. I would love a record store and even a Blockbuster for kicks. It could work
