Me too! But we were the Intellivision house. :rolleyes2 Thanks, dad.

(to be fair to my dad, Intellivision did have a few games that were better than Atari ;))

Hey, Mattel Intellivision was the fist 16-bit console! It had a LOT of great games. It just didn't get a lot of the arcade ports that Atari had locked up in exclusive deals - and the controllers were a little funky too. Great machine though - I have an INTV I and II currently in my collection.

You're correct, it had some great games. But when your favorite game is Ms Pac-Man and you are stuck with Lock 'n Chase you are bummed. (I still stand by my conviction that Pitfall was by far superior on Intellivision)

Ahhh ... the good ole disc controller.

Most games on both were better on INTV. More power and better ports. Many of the original games were great. Some were ported over to the 2600 under the name M-Network with different names, and they were good too, though not as good as their INTV counterparts.

We had an Atari as well. We even had the dreaded E.T. game.

Never tried the Intellivision, but Microsurgeon always looked interesting. This is a whole map of the game (!):
