It applies to age because it was something used in an era. A younger person wouldn't recognize it. Many younger people wouldn't recognize this:

Yea, but dial phones no longer exist (except for the one that is in my sisters garage) but people still use 35mm camera's and use those little tubes. But for the sake of graphic confession. I remember when they didn't have a dial on them either. You picked up the phone an operator came on and said number please. You told them and they connected you. Now I'm not old enough that the dial phones didn't exist in a lot of places, the just weren't in the area of the country I lived in. Where I lived the push button phones were being used almost everywhere except in Vermont.

Anyway, I guess I knew what it was, but that was recent history. I just threw out three rolls of 35mm that was never used because digital or cell phones took over that chore, but it was less then 20 years ago that was the type of camera everyone had. In fact I still have a wonderful 35mm Canon Camera neatly in it's little leather camera cover just longing to take pictures again.

I don't remember that, but then again, my baby pictures weren't in black and white :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

A running joke with a coworker is that since he is 12 years older than his wife, his wedding pictures are her in color and he's in black and white :hyper:

I am totally with this; I was dejunking and found a roll of 35 mm film which needs developing. Would be interesting to see what is on it. Not sure how to have it developed. I still have my Olympus too.

My landline still has a dial tone so.....until cell phones can be better relied on....they still aren't there yet. People have just put up with weak service no matter where you are; the fact that any call gets dropped indicates it is not reliable.

Adorama Pix or MPix would develop them. They are where hobbyists go to develop or print because the cheapies like Walmart, Snapfish, Target is such horrid quality. There's a lot of hobbyists that shoot on film still.

Schools that have a photography class might have their own darkrooms, and be willing to do it for you as well.

We found some rolls of film about 6 months or so ago and just took them to Meijer and had them develop them. Probably anywhere that does photoprints would be able to get them done (not necessarily onsite, but they could probably send it off).

Sorry, I call BS on the bolded. I haven't had a call dropped because of poor service in YEARS. Many home "landlines" aren't true POTS lines anyway. They're VoIP from your ISP.

Just had a call dropped last Monday; was on a business conference call with people from MA and London. We were all on cell phones.
Landline has been with us for 30 years, don't believe it is a ISP line.

It still happens, not all areas are covered well.
No BS just my experience vs your limited experience.
Maybe you should get out a bit more...lol. :p
I do not know any cell phone company that covers everything 100%; any map I have seen has gaps of coverage.
